The white town on the coast of the Skagerrak

Risørs most popular pub, The Peter Head, is decorated in Scottish stile.  Here the locals and tourist mingle happily during the afternoon and evening. Just ask for “hau’e” (local dialect for the head) and everyone knows the way.  If (by an odd chance) you don’t find anyone to ask, just follow the waterfront on the left hand side of the towns bay towards the hotel. You just can’t miss it.  The picture shows bartender Torben Holte Nilsen as he pours a cooling pint. Visit web-site: http://www.peterhead.no

Situated next to the towns only roundabout the ones with football fever can cover their needs at Hukken bar Her you may watch premier league and other matches. The drinks is of course customised football supporters. Try not to get caught circling the roundabout to long when leaving. The police station is just across the road!

Prommen is the place the younger generation likes to come together. Concerts is often held here. But the place is absolutely worth a visit even on evenings without live entertainment.

When all other places close in Risør, you may still have some fun in the nightclub Stand By, above the restaurant Kast Loss. In the summer, to make the night complete, everyone has to pop into Stand By. Here it’s packed and swinging till the early hours.
